It is nothing fancy or not as speshul as those DD artworks that get featured like crazy, but it is a big improvement for me with color and I am ok with that. I guess I just have to go with doing what I know how to do best and make the most of it.
But yea, I am kind of happy with this. Yes, after putting it up I might start to hate it because I will come across more detailed artwork that will make me sad because I am not THAT good, but that's ok too. XD I got to play a lot with color here but this is actually an older unfinished artwork finally finished since I am doing lots of recycling instead of throwing away old artwork I was never happy about. Therefore there isn't really much mind blowing here but I am ok with the simplicity. If it was a whole new artwork, though, I would have done better. Still, this was old and didn't want to start over.
Another thing, this is going to be the last fanart piece I do in a while. Class for me starts on the 13th but I want to get ready for that and practice art stuff based on the classes I will take for the winter quarter. Personally, if there is anything I want to improve on this year, it will have to be concept and composition. Those are where I am weakest at, hands down. Yes, I can still improve on color, anatomy, background, and so on, but I've been working on that extensively at school that I started to feel more confident about it. And even if I needed improvement (I really, really do, by the way) That will still be improved on naturally because of composition and concept practicing anyway.
So yea, composition, better concept ideas (background and character).
And learning how to put more detail. Lot's and lots of detail. People get impressed when you cram a bunch of shit into a drawing. REMEMBER THAT KIDS!
Now off to work on that original art to finally make that second account that I keep mentioning but never do anything about!
